Special lecture to students
One of our Career English major graduates, Miyu Ishihara, gave a special lecture to students who are interested in working as flight attendants or ground staff at airports. Ms. Ishihara graduated as a Career English major of KLC three years ago, and since then she has been working for Starflyer as a flight attendant. She told students how important passion is in chasing future dreams.
English Speaking Society members participated in a reception for visiting students from Pyontec University, which is in South Korea. The students from Korea were at KLC for about one month. They studied Japanese language and culture. ESS members enjoyed teaching about Japan and learning about Korea. In addition, they could get to know each other on a personal level.
Exchange with the students from Pyontec University showed students at KLC many things. One thing is that personal contact with someone from another country is a great way to learn not only differences between people, but also similarities. For example, while food is different from culture to culture, most people anywhere in the world enjoy eating. Students also learned that making friends with someone from another culture can be fun.
